"When one finds a worthy wife, her value is far beyond pearls"
The Wisdom of God is personified as ‘woman’ in last week’s and this weeks’ First Readings. These readings and the parables are a call to use our God-given talents wisely and well in order to do God’s work to build the Kingdom. We should never be afraid of God, and we should always have complete and total trust and confidence in the Lord.

We need to use our talents wisely and to also use our faith wisely. In other words, we need to be ready to share our faith and, by doing so, increase our faith, not to bury it or to live in fear, like the third man in today’s challenging parable. We need to go out and search for the hidden treasure, to bring people back to faith, to be people of hope, strength & prayer, to be a peo-ple of healing, evangelization and peace. Our thoughts turn to God more and more as the days get shorter.

The Parable of the Talents is a reminder that each Christian is called to be a child of the light, to build the Kingdom of God, a kingdom where the meek inherit the land and we are blessed when persecuted for the Lord’s sake. We turn to the light as darkness comes closer. We need to get closer to Jesus the Light. We prepare to meet the Christ the King, which we do next week on His Solemnity and then we begin our Advent preparations.

THANKSGIFTING is this weekend, followed by Thanksgiving on November 23rd. We will celebrate the two Feasts of the Miraculous Medal and St. Catherine Labouré on Tuesday, November 28th.

The World Christmas Market will be from 3:00-7:00pm on Dec 2 & 7:30am-12:00pm on Dec 3 in the Parish Courtyard. It will featuring many great vendors of high-quality items including:

• Advent and Christmas Gifts
• Delicious food provided by the Famous Tamale Sisters, The Poor Clares from Texcoco, Mexico
• Delicious Sweet Crepes from our wonderful Croatian Community
• Free Crafts for Kids
• Advent Music
• Ministry Information & Much More.
